Cele's 11 points and 7 rebounds give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Point guard Sibusiso Cele (175-PG) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Kwa-Zulu Marlins and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
He had the game-high 11 points adding seven rebounds and three assists for KZ Marlins in his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team Tshwane S. (#5, 0-1) with 19-point margin 82-63. It allowed Marlins to take over top position in the South African league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and KZ Marlins won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Cele has many years of experience at Marlins, through which he has constantly improved.

Second best performed player last round was Taite Hendricks. He is a in his first season at KZ Marlins. In the last game Hendricks recorded an impressive 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course together with Cele he helped Kwa-Zulu Marlins with another comfortable win 82-63 over Tshwane S. (0-1) being unquestionably team leader. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Hendricks is one of the most experienced players at Marlins and similarly like Sibusiso Cele has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Somusa Mthembu (206-C-1992) of Tshwane Suns (#5). Mthembu scored 4 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). Despite Mthembu's great performance the Suns lost 63-82 to KZ Marlins (#1, 2-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Tshwane S. can only dream about fighting for top spots in Group B. They have awful season losing so far all 1 games. Too bad for Mthembu he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. The season just started for Mthembu as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
